A place where the Bible, education, structure, hard work, incentives, and old-fashioned discipline are used to train up teen and pre-teen boys in the way they should go.
If your son's academics, social-skills, self-discipline, work ethic, and character/integrity could use a little jump-start but you're concerned he might pick up more bad habits if he's surrounded by peers who have behavioral issues as bad or worse than his own, you've come to the right place! Abounding Faith Christian Academy is designed to aid parents in motivating young men to reach their full potential through one-on-one mentoring, homeschool education, close supervision, and brotherly love.
At Abounding Faith, we make education a top priority! That's why upon a student's arrival, we administer a diagnostic test to give us a good idea as to his academic strengths and weaknesses. Utilizing the results of those tests alongside prior school records helps us develop a an educational plan that will spell success!
Students at Abounding Faith are kept busy from the time they get up in the mornings until the time they go to bed at night. Living on a small ranch, there is plenty of work to be done, and fun to be had! When guys aren't doing school, they help with chores, play, interact with our animals, and sometimes go off campus.
Children are gifts from God, and when we are entrusted with caring for them, we do not take that responsibility lightly.
At Abounding Faith, there are only two staff members - the founders, which are a husband and wife team. Because there are only two of us, we have no intentions of taking in more than three students at a time. Even though we accept boys between the ages of 10 and 17, we are careful to only select a group of students who are within three years of age of one another so we don't end up in a situation where a 10-year-old feels like he's being bullied by a 17-year-old. We do not accept students who have histories of acting out sexually. Cameras are used throughout our home (except in restrooms/changing areas) for added protection of both students and the houseparents. We allow the boys to have weekly, unmonitored phone calls, write letters home as often as they would like, and invite parents to visit them on campus as often as once per month. In addition, the boys attend church with us at least three times per week, allowing people outside of our home to see and interact with them on a regular basis.
Our ranch is located a little over an hour from an international airport.
With student safety in mind, we do not disclose our location to the general public - but to families who are seriously looking into the possibility of enrolling their sons into our program. Generally speaking, we are located in the Northwestern portion of the United States, along the Rocky Mountains.
We are willing to pick students up at the airport - and do not charge any extra fees for doing so.
